Water Conservation Alert: Reduce Water Use for Fish Migration
Lake Oswego and the Clackamas River Water Providers are asking our customers to help keep water in the Clackamas River for the fall fish runs. River levels are significantly low right now, so let’s make sure there is enough water for the Coho and Chinook Salmon by reducing or shutting off outdoor watering. Red conservation actions:
- Reducing or shutting down all outdoor watering, spot water when needed
- Taking your car to a commercial carwash which recycles the water
- Shutting off all outdoor water features
- Not letting water run off driveways, sidewalks, or down the street
The more we can conserve, the easier this journey will be for these threatened and endangered salmon species.
Thanks for doing your part to keep water in the Clackamas River!
