   09/01/2026

   On September 1, 2026, the CIty Council made their final decision and adopted Ordinance 2974 & 2978.  The Ordinance becomes effective on October 1, 2026.  A link to Ordinance 2974 & 2978 is available in the Public Records Folder.

   07/21/2026

   The City Council held a public hearing on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, and made their tentative decision to adopt Ordinances 2974 & 2978. Staff will return to City Council with final versions of both Ordinances and draft Findings, Conclusion, & Order on Sept. 1, 2026. Links to the Ordinances are available in the Public Records Folder.

   07/21/2026 - City Council Public Hearing

   The Lake Oswego City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 21, 2026; 3:00 p.m., to consider the proposed amendments.

   06/22/2026

   On Monday June 22, 2026, the Planning Commission adopted the findings, conclusion, and order recommending approval of the draft Tree Regulation Amendments to the City Council. The adopted findings, which include the Recommended Code Amendments, are available in the  Public Record folder.

   The City Council hearing to consider final adoption of the Tree Regulation Amendments is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 3:00pm.    06/08/2026

   On June 8, the Planning Commission made a preliminary recommendation that the City Council approve the proposed amendments and directed staff to return with the draft Findings, Conclusions, and Order for consideration at its next meeting on June  22, 2026.

   05/20/2026 – Tree Task Force Meeting #6

   The Tree Task Force will hold its sixth meeting on Wednesday May 20th, at 3:00 - 4:00 pm.  This will be an online-only meeting conducted via Zoom.

   City Council will hold a study session on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, staff is seeking direction on four key policy issues before finalizing the draft tree regulation amendments for a public hearing with the Planning Commission.

   The Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Advisory Board and Sustainability Advisory Board held a joint work session to review draft amendments to the Tree Code and related provisions of the Community Development Code and provide feedback to help refine the proposed amendments prior to the public hearing scheduled for June 8, 2026.
