9:00 AM – 12:30 PM
On Saturday, October 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. join friends and neighbors for the 8th Annual Urban Forest Summit at the Lake Oswego United Methodist Church, 1855 South Shore Blvd.
This year’s summit invites participants to discover Stories of Transformation: Restoring our Human Connection to the Land. The summit will bring environmental stewardship to life through powerful film and intimate personal narratives. Attendees will embark on a visual journey - focusing on impactful restoration projects at the International Leadership Academy, Pecan Creek, and three inspiring Backyard Habitat gardens. A presentation will also be given by the City of Lake Oswego on updates to the Tree Code.
Attendees will participate in discussions, get questions answered and have time to engage with environmental experts and organizations. The annual Urban Forest Summit is presented by the Oswego Lake Watershed Council, in partnership with the City of Lake Oswego, the Lake Oswego Sustainability Network, and the Backyard Habitat Certification Program.
Thank you to our generous sponsors: Bartlett Tree Experts, Blossom Landscape, and Design Native Northwest.
