Citywide Parking Reform
In 2020, Governor Kate Brown issued Executive Order 20-04, directing state agencies to take actions to reduce and regulate greenhouse gas emissions. In response, the Oregon Land Conservation and Development Commission adopted rules establishing the Climate-Friendly and Equitable Communities (CFEC) program in July 2022. The CFEC program requires Lake Oswego, along with other cities in Oregon, to make certain reforms to their off-street parking requirements for new development. The City will be undergoing a community engagement process with the goal of delivering the CFEC Parking Code Amendments to the City Council by the end of 2024. Please see the tabs on the left or linked below for more information or to provide feedback on the options under CFEC.
